Purpose of the role | This is a new community project that aims to offer a free, professional, volunteer listening support service in Nantwich and rural communities. It is not counselling. |
What you will be doing | Actively listening and supporting bereaved and grieving people, and/or helping with general administrative duties. |

When and where | As required and agreed on. |
Support offered | Supervision and support are provided. Supervision will be a requirement if volunteering directly with clients. |
Benefits to volunteer | Volunteering can help you gain confidence and experience and learn new skills by giving you the chance to try something new, and to build a sense of achievement. You can also meet different kinds of people, make new friends, and feel part of a new community group. |
Other relevant information | Experience in bereavement awareness, or in formal listening skills is not required, as training will be given. A DBS check is required for those working face-to-face with clients. This will be at no cost to yourself, together with one reference. |
