Purpose of the roleThis is a new community project that aims to offer a free, professional, volunteer listening support service in Nantwich and rural communities. It is not counselling.
What you will be doingActively listening and supporting bereaved and grieving people, and/or helping with general administrative duties.

When and whereAs required and agreed on.
Support offeredSupervision and support are provided. Supervision will be a requirement if volunteering directly with clients.

Other relevant information

Experience in bereavement awareness, or in formal listening skills is not required, as training will be given.

A DBS check is required for those working face-to-face with clients. This will be at no cost to yourself, together with one reference.
